I landed in Hong Kong with nothing but a suitcase I landed in Hong Kong with nothing but a suitcase 🧳 and over a decade later, I’m leaving this beautiful island with a husband (thanks @tinder!), son (thanks @benitaperch!) and 🐱🐱 in tow. I never imagined my two-year stint would turn into a 12-year adventure, traversing Asia Pacific with HK as our hub. As we head off to our next destination: Singapore, the future seems even harder to imagine than ever before and the stakes higher. But one thing is for certain: I’m so grateful for all the opportunities, memories and friends that this journey has gifted me and there’s no one I’d rather do it all with than @paul.watsonphotography, my best friend, my rock and my better half. 💕 Thanks for everything 🇭🇰. It’s hard to understand what your mama friends a It’s hard to understand what your mama friends are going through when you haven’t gone through it yourself. It’s been 5 days since Avery was born and it’s easily been some of the hardest days of my life. From being cut open, organs moved around, c-section recovery, then while trying to recover needing to wake up every 2 hours to face the inconceivable pain and frustrations of breastfeeding (nevermind what your overstressed and underrested body looks like); I had no idea how lonely this journey would be at times. I only wish I knew all of this while my friends were going through their version of this [really f* hard] journey. I wish I were a better, more supportive, loving and understanding friend — as all of you have been for me this past week. It truly takes a village and we thank you all for the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual guidance you’ve given us so freely and abundantly from around the world and around the clock. Thank you. I will never take this outpouring of love for granted and I vow to pass it forward. 💗
